Oh I do like to be beside the seaside

We went to the Picardie coast yesterday. We found cailloux (pebbles) at Cayeux Sur Mer and just up the coast we visited the seins (breasts) in St Valéry. See bottom left picture. hehe. We thought about going to le Crotoy (pronounced crotte-roi) but decided against it! Funny to see there's a Brighton in France too!

I had a lovely day with J and I found a heart shaped pebble!

We went to Cayeux in August. It is nice to see a pebbly beach. What an amazing pebble you found! How do you do that mosaic thing. Is it on Flickr? Enjoyed your tile post. I'd say hardwood floors (fake in my case) are a warmer comprmise, though I do wear slippers, too. I'm impressed you actually move your furniture when you clean. I only do that once every, oh, three times.

oh lovely! I've been there before too and it's really pretty and relaxing (after being in the city for so long). LOVE the mosaic and the heart-shaped pebble :)

Mil - I use Picasa which you can download from google. It's brilliant for mosaics and you can publish straight to your blog.

hey! you're spreading the Picasa love ;-) hehe glad to see i've taught you well my young apprentice! lol

i left a comment on my blog for you, better late than never but here's your answer:
Emmy - it is not official ID in the sense that it doesn't show your nationality but if you want to show ID to write a cheque, pick up a package at the post office etc but you can't travel on it or anything.

I wouldn't recommend exchanging yours if possible because then you will get stuck with the points system. If you get a ticket on your UK license you'll just pay the fine but won't loose points. Most of my colleagues have kept their UK license for that very reason.

When does it bother you not to have ID? what situations?
